"Seven Earth Years, One Human Year is a critical experimental documentary that examines the effects of the last hundred years of telecommunications on the human psyche, connecting historical narratives with personal anecdotes to navigate the relationship between the radio wave and the brain wave. The film interrogates the psychographic weight of the American empire and its quest to create a global military communications system. Part empire history, part travelogue, part metaphysical investigation of technology, "Seven Earth Years, One Human Year," traces the history of electronic communications as much as it questions the video essay genre itself.

Someone once said: What about the movies that no one watches? To which another replied: It is not possible to know what is going on. This is the history of cinema in the mountains of southeastern Mexico. That of Zapatista cinema, a cinema that was originally listened to, not seen, narrated, transmitted orally.

Bajo el Volcán is a creative documentary about uprooting. The characters (like the memories) have no body, they are ghostly voices that come and go during the night, always talking about something that we cannot see, that is no longer there. The film aims to open questions about migration and oblivion; how do we relate to the past of a place we have left, what if instead of remembering, we need to forget? What happens when a place only exists in the memory of a few, being so fragile?

A film about a country without memory, made with images found in the trash. Making letters with no sender or recipient's name: a letter is made of desire. It doesn't matter if it will be read. Autofiction as a search, to touch what sleeps.
